Class attendance is very important in college education. Stop cooking up excuses
because you don’t want to attend class. Make sure you find yourself in class
whether it’s raining or you are waiting in line for a new star wars film. Missing a
class at college invites a lot of negative consequences. Below are some of the
benefits of attending classes regularly:

1. You earn attendance points
Most professors deduct marks or  disqualify you if you abscond classes.

2. You have a clear picture of what will come during exams
During class time professors put much emphasis on areas which will come
during exams with statements like “make sure you understand…..” or “it is
very important to note ……” Some professors will directly tell you the areas
where the exams will come from. This will enable you to only focus on
important areas.

3. It improves your relationship with the professor
professors love hard-working students. Don’t be
surprised if the professor gives you a rude response when you ask him for
help if you know that you were deliberately absent on the day he was
giving that lecture. Even your fellow students will refuse to help you once
they discover that you are not a serious person.

4. You take notes on your own
Taking your own notes is a lot more important than just copying notes from
your colleagues. Copying your own notes enhances learning because you
copy what you understand and ask questions where you don’t understand
this solidifies understanding of the subject matter.

5. You don’t miss important announcements.
Students who don’t attend classes regularly often miss the due dates of
assignments and quizzes because professors announce these things during
class time.

6. it saves you from unnecessary stress
if you really care about your grade you will agree with me that when you miss a class you feel some guilt.
